It's not even that. It's just that women aren't wired to register an emotional response to men's feelings when it doesn't directly concern them. I'm sure she cares. If she saw you struggling with something she'd show genuine concern/empathy. But not if she heard you talking about it. That don't mean they're not geared to talk about their own emotional problems though. All women are like this.
