im 16 and 5'8.5 im close to done with growing cos its at a really low rate recently.

currently at around 18%bf should i cut to 12%ish to get a leaner face or should i wait till im 18 to squeeze any last bits of growth

if you're no late bloomer, you're probably too late unfortunately. I recommend recomping and being cautious though (if you're a late bloomer, even more so). Go to the gym, eat well, get your micros, sleep well, and you're good to go till you're ~20, then you see how things go.
It's important to say, humans were built to be lean, not fat. This means you're at a disadvantage. Your body isn't as efficient as it could be, your joints will suffer more stress, and your hormonal profile won't be the best. Still, patience is required if you can still grow as 5'8 isn't that great of a height.

If you try to get lean realistically it will not affect your growth. You would have to be in an decifit for an over an year of puberty for it to have any effect at all on your development. People just fearmonger this it isnt an actual issue in reality.
