Should I lose weight before going to the gym? If I start gymmaxxing, I would go together with friends, and they all do the same workout routine together (which is lifting weights and shit). Nobody there does Cardio.

And you NEED to do cardio. Do it either alone, or at home later/earlier or whatever.
Daily cardio is a must, for fat fucks.

Your fat will help getting muscle mass. Bodybuilders struggle to gain weight, being fat before starting gym is a bless.

You have musclemass though. All my weight is basically fat weight with no muscles.
I’m 21% body fat and don’t lift weights just bicycle and sauna and walk

You can't only lose fat, you'll always lose fat and muscle (unless you're on tren it something). So it's better to be as lean as possible before you start gaining.

Utter moronic reasoning. You want to lose as much fat as possible while losing as little muscle as possible. Weight lifting while cutting prevents you from looking like a fucking skinny fat untermensch by the time you are done.

If at muh old age, I managed to go to 15% bf ranges. while being before like 19% bf or whatever skinnyfat percentage I was at

I’d say I looked my age last year when I was working but now that I retired and don’t have any stress + actually consciously looksmax that really helped

People will say to do both but I would disagree, I started fat and began lifting while losing weight but I actually ended up wasting my noobie gains faze. Lose weight, get lean, and then bulk/begin lifting and you’ll make rapid gains your first year

eat less calories than for maintaning (but enough protein) and lift, add some cardio (do not exaggerate). In ur condition a body recomp is the best choice.
 
Bad advice here, lifting is great for weight loss. Noob gains=the only time where you can build muscle and burn fat at the same time

This. Beginners will not just burn off fat at the gym as long as they eat maintenance calories, they will build muscle at the same time.


The fat burn will also continue for up to 24+ hours after your workout making you burn extra calories without doing anything at all.


There is no point trying to lean down from a state as chubby as OP's without lifting weights.

Buy a gym membership or create a home gym.
