Should I remove my wisdom teeth? If yes, what will change?

2 weeks ago I've done some dental x rays because I'm looking forward to getting braces. The results showed that all 4 of my wisdom teeth are impacted , and will eventually crowd my other teeth if I leave them alone. I don't have the x rays , but they will be sent to me soon.
The dentist told me that removing them is the best option because it prevents crowding and help with creating space for the braces.

Now I don't know if I should take them out or not. I've read some forums in here about this and the opinions are varied. So , what change does the removal of wisdom teeth bring? will it cause recession? Does it affect bone mass?
