i'm just afraid my dick won't work permanently cuz i've read countless anecdotes online of them causing ed:ogre:

No, absolutely don't unless you are seriously suicidal, studies have shown they don't help mild depression, or moderate much, but they do helo severe depression by a good amount

i'm depressed enough that i severely lack motivation. motivation in everything really and that includes dealing with relationships, working out consistently, getting projects done ahead of time, and ultimately starting a family and having kids. particularly the latter i just don't see it in myself being able to do it without absolutely despising it as much as normies make it out to be the ultimate happy life everyone should strive for. idk where to go from here tbh

my sister is on it and she literally can't get off it and that's worrisome to me tbh
You have to do it very slowly and only when you've addressed the cause of the depression

If you can't think of any psychological cause then it may be physiological (poor diet, poor gut health, lack of sun)
most likely physiological tbh. the agepill tbh there's no other reason besides the brain slowly dying

Look into probiotics and gut health generally, lots of research in the past few years has discovered a link between the gut and the brain

What caused it do you think ?
had a lot of free time before i got back to school again and that's when my nihilism started. i was always motivated to achieve until that moment. it's on and off with hopelessness til this day

I was depressed in my early teen years. I was just asking because a lot of it changes especially if you are younger since your brain is still forming.

How is your overall physical health? Are you overweight and how often do you do physical activity. The easiest fix is looking at physical deficiencies to solve. Then look at your social health do you have any real friends or contacts?
social life, physical health, looks, etc, are all in check it's just the ugly part of life that comes with age as i've come to conclude

That sounds like a dopamine problem, it isn't fixed with SSRI, but with SNRI, or even better Wellbutrin. You take SSRI if you are sad all the time to big measures and think of suicide as an escape
