should i start bonesmashing? because im still growing

im 16 and have not finished puberty but, my friend is telling me I shouldn't bonesmash. Aperently my dad has really good jaw genes and I can still grow my bone structure if i wait. im worried if I start bonesmashing it will mess up with growth or stunt somthing.
