Should i take 5AR inhibitors at 15?

Basically ending tanner stage 4 of puberty and already got a growth spurt. I have bad skin and receding hairline on the sides. I need someone who has enough knowledge and proof so imma mark as solution if the point is fairly proved.

5ari wont affect your height growth spurt, what it will affect is your genital growth, prostate growth, body hair growth, and facial hair growth. If youre satisfied with all of those and your hair is receding rapidly you make the decision. I take one at 17 for my hairline because I have lots of miniaturizing hairs that look on the brink of being unrecoverable. Hair transplants are ridiculously expensive and limited (you dont have an infinite supply of hairs to graft) so generally the earlier you take action the more hair you get to keep. Based on my research testosterone is 100x more impactful in skeletal dimorphism and male skeletal development so I dont see any aesthetic downside to blocking DHT but you should do your own research on pubmed. Yeah sure, most topically administered drugs do to some extent. This doesn't mean it will result in anti-androgenic side effects, that would require an actual oral 5ar inhibitor. And since when did human safety data matter? Half of the shit i use doesn't have phase 3 clinical trials, we judge based on anecdotes. And anecdotally, RU is great

I mean average nothing special but is it gonna significantly affect my dick gains? I have testosterone in the 800ng/ml range so i think im good. Is testosterone gonna do the same job or is dht the only one involved in dick gains?

Although, Topical RU is not an official hair loss treatment so we don't know if there is some form of systemic absorption.

In your shoes, I would opt for minoxidil and then hop on a 5ar inhibitor at 18 - which at least has a fully documented safety profile.

Yes inhibition of 5 Alpha reductase will lead to stopping of dick gains, since DHT is mainly responsible for penile growth. There is actually a condition where some men have naturally low or no 5 Alpha reductase enzymes since birth which lead to them all developing a micro penis and no facial hair. Derek from moreplatesmoredates made a video about that.

I mean maybe yeah RU58841 has a molecular weight of around 369g/mol, which is below the 500 Dalton threshold for skin absorption. This means it can potentially penetrate the skin and go systemic. It's literally an anti androgen so might have anti androgenic side effects one can't be sure.
But yeah I agree RU58841 primarily acts locally at the site of application, really systemic side effects are rather unlikely. I use it as well actually not sure if works that well but time will tell. I just wouldn't recommend it to a teenager that is still in peak puberty, because who knows it might have more pronounced some side effects in them.

You can consider taking it when you're 18/19. Me personally im waiting till I'm 21 but I'm being extra cautious which is probably not necessary.
Also Self-assessment using Tanner stages tends to be less accurate than clinician assessments. Just saying. My penis grew until I was 19.

95% of ppl dont have relevant penis growth after 16, dont listen to anyone that tells u to wait till ur 20 to hop on fin, if ur balding is bad enough get on that shit at 16.5 - 17
