Simple answer yes, trained boxing for a few years when I was younger and had some experience with Thai boxing.

I have a good frame but used to be quite chubby through not doing that much exercise and not taking it seriously. Last year I started mma and started training for a cage fight. Was in an 8 week camp, losing 8 kilos and becoming pretty ripped. Looked fit and was fucking fit , mma and grappling specifically is the best form of fitness across the board. Did loads for my confidence too.

Went in the cage and had a proper scrap, was pretty cool.

I am from the uk and anytime you go out it is pretty common to run into trouble as a lad, training for this has obviously equipped me to be a pretty tough guy. You only use it when you have to but it is paramount to be able to protect yourself and those around you - mma enabled me to do that.

Start it , get fit , learn to fight. This discipline carries into other parts of your life.

Any martial art will help you in any way. every martial art teaches you discipline, how to control yourself, and how to react when you are in a threatning situation.

You need a mix of striking and grappling then. I’d just go for mma as it encompasses everything

if you are willing to kill people, than you most likely don't need the martial art.
Some good martial arts though.
Sambo, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Systema

.38 special
IF I were to use a firearm it would be a Glock-17,never a rifle. You can put handguns anywhere and shoot it easily without restrictions, anywhere, anywhen. Rifles r large and heavy

If you are in your teens, do judo 1-3 months, then do MMA.
If your an adult, start MMA from the start
I'm 15,16 soon. Judo may be really usefull. I'd need to train my grip strength up to 100kg-150kg tho to be very effective

Start judo, then. You will have beginner experience, because judo teaches grappling and bunch of that stuff. Grip strength matters a little bit, but in judo it's all about your technique, how you shift your bodyweight, etc.
