Should I train only side muscles for best neck hypertrophy?

Or should I also train front and/or back extension?

Did you get results that way? AFAIK most of the aesthetics come from the side muscles and working the front can give you sleep apnea or whatever

I did it for a month before getting lazy and I noticed a bit more definition I guess and a much better posture

Interesting regarding posture. Usually the issue is forward head posture and that's mitigated by strengthening the back muscles
