Should I try going to a bar? Need real advice

Hey I have an idea of going to some regular bar and order couple of drinks and just sit there to see if I get any IOIs from girls or even approaches. I've never been to a bar before in my life and clubs seems like a bad idea because I can't dance and hate normie pop music.

Main reason why I want to do it is to gauge my attractiveness to women.

Do you guys honestly think it's a good idea of measurement?

I think if I dont get approached in such setting that would 90% mean I am invisible to women.

Please post your opinion and actual experiences in a bar setting. Have you ever gotten IOIs or approaches in a bar? If so include your PSL level/height.

never got approached IN a bar. had 10 or 11 approaches this year and they were all outside, at the beach or at festivals. 1 was in front of a bar but i was in so many bars and never got approached. had some ioi‘s there but tbh most girls go there with other chicks or with their boyfriend so chances are very low they approach you

I've had girls look at me in the bars loads of times..

A few weeks ago two girls invited me to join them on their table in a Wetherspoons pub in the day time. One was ugly and one was ok looking. I declined.

Got approached at bars but the girl is usually shitfaced, sober girls usually just look from a distance and stare multiple times.

Sometimes they do approach you for a talk or asking if you could buy them a drink. I also got girls asking me if they could get me a drink, although this is very rare and you should be a 10/10 in their eyes for them to do that.

I was and am not a night type of person. But I have some experience with going out. And I can share that.

I would do that test, if I were you. Because there's no risk in this test.

I (psl4, 188cm 6'2) have tried the aloof method as well.
I never got approached, by women.
The only guys I have seen being approached, are the high status people (DJ/barman/guys with alot of women around him already) position in the bar; and the really good looking dudes.

What women, do do. Is give invitation signals, to dudes that aren't really hot but above average.
It's most often in the form of eyecontact + smile.

That was me also, @ 5:45. Often, at least. Therefore, I went just chatting up instead of waiting for IOI's at some point. Because, them IOI's didn't come. And if I waited for IOI's; like that guy does at 5:45. I would look like him.
Most normla/regular dudes, wait for the IOI. Which is imo a correct strategy. Because otherwise, it's going to be mass rejection. Like I experienced; because I chose not to wait for IOI's. But used the numbersgame approach.
The only upside from numbersgame approach; is that from afar it looks less bad; then standing around like that guy @5:45. Because that looks even worse, then talking with women (even though you're getting shut down, 90+%).

Like that short haired Richard guy, gets an IOI from those 2 women already when walking in. That dude has good social noticing skills; because he notices it and goes to these 2 women only. And he has a good interaction with them, therefore because these 2 women liked him from the "get go". Where Richard an aspie, he might not notice that when he walks in, and go chat up random women that had send no ioi's and have a hugh rejection rate.
