Should I try minoxidil before a hair transplant?

Reasons considering transplant first:
1. Topical min doesn't work for a lot of people. Don't want to take oral
2. Have to apply topical for the rest of my life
3. I already want a transplant on another area with low density that isn't hair loss. Surgeon said only around 200 grafts. Doesn't seem worth it on its own as places have a base cost

Minox barely does anything and fin is for maintenance. Ht is the only way to get hair back.

Starting RU. Tbh I think any gains made by RU (if any) would need to be maintained by RU and would miniaturise again after stopping

Shaving is too brutal
Hopefully just a donor shave wouldn't cause a worse result, but even that sucks now my hair is nice and long

Starting RU. Tbh I think any gains made by RU (if any) would need to be maintained by RU and would miniaturise again after stopping

I was taking RU and I stopped taking it after month 2 because I came to the realization that I would have to apply it every single day for the rest of my life. Just gonna stick with dutasteride, add GHK-CU, and get a HT when I'm 25. I didn't even stick with RU for long enough to see any regrowth and now it's been a literal month of non stop shedding. Praying to god I can return to pre RU baseline

Min is pretty cope I think. Too much of a pain in the ass for any gains if you do it topically. I decided to start drinking it though, it's low effort and basically costs nothing too.

If you discontinue RU and are still on Dut you will maintain whatever Duatsteride alone can maintain, you won't necessarily lose what you gained if you used long enough to see results. If you discontinue minox you will lose absolutely everything minox grew.

Shedding from starting a treatment is usually a good sign, though you discontinued.
