Should I try minoxidil before finasteride?

From my other threads, I said I may be thinning at temples but not sure, tbh I don't think I am but don't wanna risk it.

I'm not 20 yet so should I try using minoxidil instead of finasteride for a year or so or until I see some definite hair loss? I don't want to nuke dht and beard and penis gains while still developing.

Minoxidil (Regaine I would use) is expensive at £50 for 3 months, around the same as if I were to get finasteride from alldaychemist (maybe slightly more).

Aside from cost, is there any downside to trying minoxidil currently?

minoxidil should be avoided whenever possible imo. if you start with minox now then you'll never know how much "natural" hair you have and you'll have to keep using it unless you want to find out by possibly losing a shitton of hair after dropping that stuff. starting fin early means you don't have to use anything else.

You can get 12 bottles on eBay for £60, did you even look?

If you’re going to go down the looksmaxing path, you need to work on your google-fu.

Also just take the finasteride. It’s inexpensive and necessary. I’ve been on it for 2 years and my only regret is not starting sooner.
