Should I try straight hair hairstyles?

I naturally have wavish-curly hair with lots of volume. Looks very zoomer. I wanted to try a straighter hairstyleike a slick back or something. Like with a pomade to make my hair straighter and then push it all back

I don't think it will suit him

He would look good with more volume in his hair.
Straightening it or making it wavy will only decrease volume. He should grow it out, and treat his curls well to give it more volume

My hair way thicker and denser than that picture. I have like loosely curly hair. Unless I use a ton of product. I can't get my hair to look like that.
