Should I use accutane and tret at the same time?

Im on low dose accutance and using tret at the same time. Im using 40mg accutane which is on the lower end for me since im a bigger guy. in the past i was at 120mg daily, so 40mg is relatively low. tret is .05%

im using tret nightly as well. been using it every night for about a month and a half. first i started just using it on my nose but over the past week ive been using it on the rest of my face as well. not seeing any noticable side effects for now. should i still drop the tret? or maybe use it a few times a week instead of every day?

is there even any point of using it if the accutane is so much stronger? Also, i know just because i dont see any sides it doesnt mean i dont have any

Good idea, using tret during accutane lowers the chances of your acne coming back after. Keep using it after accutane tho

I would drop the tret if I were you, they are effectively the same drug just one is oral so all your really doing fucking your skin barrier and probably making side affects worse. Just Increase accutane dose

no, #1 rule of accutane is to not use any other skin products that are supposed to clear your skin because your skin is extremely sensitive on accutane. this means no retinoids, no cleanser (or an extremely light cleanser), no azelaic acid, etc..

He’s on a low dose, tret 0,05 every three days or every week significantly decreases the risk of acne coming back. Worth it imo but your point stands
