M(17) I’ve had braces for 6+ months with 14 months left and at the start of this month they gave me bands to use but I’m not sure if I should continue using them as I’ve heard they can cause jaw recession which I clearly don’t want so should I ignore the dentist and continue to mew or use bands +mew? I’ve yet to ask my dentist how the braces will affect my teeth and jaw development as I only agreed to pay for them because my mom suggested lol but I plan on doing so once I go again at the start of June along with info of my pallet as I want to know if I should try and grow it wider even though I think my palate is just fine.Any help is appreciated!
