Should i use conditioner for dry/thin hair if i have thick dense hair ?

I'm doing nopoo and i also use castor oil on my scalp 2hrs before showering so water isnt enough to get the oil out, usually i use shampoo to get the oil out. Thoughts?

You would need a clay for that or something similar
