0.1 % taz and 20% azelaic acid everyday, is it too much?

Didnt have any bad irritation on taz only everyday but today after introducing AA a while ago I got a little break out. Havent had any in months.

Also I didnt just start using both of them everyday I eased into it.

I was thinking I start doing taz every other day and aa every other, thoughts?

someon ples
nigger if you actually did ease into it and you still got a breakout that means your skin barrier is getting fucked, you clearly got a response from the most qualified entity to speak on this topic (your own fucking body) to stop this shit.
i know you would like for someone to gaslight you to keep going and trust the process but its probably just too harsh nigger and u gotta choose one over the other

you could do 1 every other and second every other but that would just split the effectivness of both

which one do you think I should use. I dont have any active acne besides that little breakout. Main concern is rough skin texture/scarring and pie from old acne.

For now im just using them to cope until I get professional treatments

rough texture/scarring taz, will do something to the PIE
still not super effective against the scarring, i mean small improvements

azelaic acid for PIE, will do 0 to texture

Fully adjust your skin to the Taz/retinoid before introducing other actives.

do you use it every night? Reduce your usage to every 72 hours when introducing azelaic acid and see if that works
Yeah I think I might just keep using taz and use the azelaic acid less, like every other day or every 3

Your skin stays retinized as long as you use the retinoid every 72 hours. So you can drop taz usage to every 72 hours for maintenance. Start with azelaic acid 1-2 days a week and slowly move up. When needed, take a night off using any actives and sleep with a face covered in moisturizer + Vaseline.
