Been going gym for like a year and built a decent physique but I done this without a workout plan and would Just walk in and think what I hadn't done that week and what I feel like doing that day. Am I a retard for this?

Rigorous exercise will just stress your body, doing it less frequently and whenever you feel like it is ideal

ofc bro dirty bulk and eat like 5000 cals a day so you get big fast

According to Goatis (The God of the Black Pill Community), exercises ages you and shortens your lifespan, he claims that even doing over 50 push-ups will “age” you and cause a lot of “stress” on your body, Goatis made it clear that any type of “stress”, mental or physically will prematurely age the human body.
FYI: I don’t agree with him

You don’t need a structured workout, but it’s definitely better to have one. Think of it like hammering a nail, you could do it with your fists, but just because you can doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be ten times easier with a hammer. Same deal here. That said, if you’re not feeling up to strict programming, you can swap exercises as long as you’re hitting the same movement patterns. For example, if you bench press one day, you can sub in another horizontal press next time. But you can’t just go from a bench press one day to, say, a completely unrelated movement pattern the next, you need some structure for consistent progress.

Since you’re past the one-year mark, I’d also recommend looking into double progression. As a beginner (6 months to 1 year in), you recover like a roided bodybuilder and can progress linearly. But once you move past that stage, linear progression slows down, and you’ll need a more strategic approach. Sure, you could keep trying to progress linearly, just like you could build a physique without a workout plan, but it’s definitely not the most efficient way. Double progression will help you keep making steady gains, following this experiment with the Effective Reps Model or other more advanced periodization techniques (assuming your goals aren't to just build muscle, but also progress in strength consistently as well).

As for bulking, I’d even go as far as saying you could perma-bulk if done right. My approach was a tiny caloric surplus (less than +100 cals/day) combined with some Zone 2 or HIIT cardio. This lets you gain just about as much muscle as a more aggressive bulk (+400 cals/day) but keeps you lean enough that you never really feel like cutting. Given your experience, the best approach would be a ~300 calorie surplus, keeping cardio in the mix (nothing too taxing, Zone 2 is ideal), and cutting when summer rolls around.

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, DO NOT DIRTY BULK!
