many take hydrocortisone to thin the skin around the nose tip, wouldn’t the increase of collagen also make the skin thicker thus making the nose look larger in the end?

Reactions: follicel and MulletM1chas
Solution
follicel
yeah usually for microneedling it's not a much high-value area and easier to mess up but, it won't make the nose bigger in any meaningful way

i dont think so like yeah it can make skin thicker but it won't make it look larger.

Dermal remodeling is indeed a thing but the amount of thickening is negligible. Probably in micrometers.
I don't really see any benefit in microneedling the nose anyway.

thing is that hydrocortisone reduces inflammation and collagen production on the skin, which over time can cause thinning and fragility, so your risk permanent redness or rebound swelling. later, if collagen production increases from any product or inflammation, the nose can look bigger or less defined than what it started as.

Wouldn’t the same go for the steroid? Just the other way around obv

idk what you mean exactly but steroid will damage skin faster than microneedling can improve

edit:
It's hard to make this symmetrical if you ever did just hard to do symmetrically
Also you have to think about two different processes within what you're doing when you microneedle

Anabolic processes and catabolic as in building and breaking down collagen
not symmetric collagen synthesis since it is slow regulated and limited while with suppression accelerates degradation so outcomes arent equivalent

it just aint worth it la bro bro
