Should shoelifts be under or over your shoe insole?

So I am curious about getting lifts since I am manlet tier height.

I am nervous though what if for some reason someone realises I am wearing the lifts? Like if I go bowling and take if my shoes people would know for sure so should I be hiding the lifts underneath my shoe insole? Or am I just overly anxious and should just wear lifts over the original shoe insole since most of the time no one should see it anyway, it seems like a hassle to rip out the glued insoles of my shoes and stuff.

I don't think I will wear my lifts to bowling though.

its like 3 inches of real height and i was wearing converse it was painful tbh at the end of the day my posture was so cucked that id be taller without lifts
