Should the palate width be the same as tongue?

When you push upward you should feel the inner teeth?

What's the ideal?

Yeah, it should be close to that. People in stone age had palate width in high 40's or low 50's, which is width of average tongue

I personally have a palate width that is nearly twice the width of my tongue, so i don't feel my teeth, i can move it back and forth pretty easy. I have a pretty ideal jaw.

I think i'm wrong, i think the roof of my mouth is just super deep but it feels like i have a lot of room. At the very top i can move it around freely. My tongue is around 45 mm, so not super large. But yeah, it shouldn't touch teeth and there should be plenty of room to move it around.
