People have to account for inconsistencies such as a curved philtrum/ browridge area and cant simply say subnasale

Here is an example:

De La Cruz, has a curved Philtrum. Which makes it hard to point out the landmark

With this issue we can see the ratio differs signifficantly

technically his subnasale would be higher up, but this would create inconsistencies in his profile as seen in the picture below

if we were have to used it as the landmark the ratio would indicate severe Jaw recession, which optically isnt necessarily the case

However if we pinpoint the DEEPEST part of the philtrum area, the ratio would become way better and more accurate

the ratio suddenly becomes near ideal

And Im saying this because here is an example of an actual 155 degree convexity

we can clearly see that the profile flatness is completely different

Now with the browridge the issue is, that it isnt a sharp angle itself, the skin tissue always makes the area rounded to some extent

Im saying this because if the angle is drawn, it wont cover the whole nasal/ browridge region

Heres an example:

As we can see the the angle only covers either the browridge or the nose, cant do both as the area is rounded

However if we had pushed the landmark a little further back, it would cover both areas accurately and would be a better representation of the angle

The same goes for the supramental
