Single dorm better?

I'm going to college next year and I chose a single room right after getting accepted bc there was only 4 available. Fast forward now I got an email that I can get $2000 off dorm fee if I withdraw from the single room to double. That's over which saves me $3000 since single room cost $1000 more. The biggest factor is socialmaxxing or whatever it's called. I can't choose between the two.

Roomate = potential friend = more friends + girls

Singleroom = privacy

My priority is to get a girlfriend + laid as many times as possible, so studying or schoolwork isn't much of a priority.

I'm now debating myself and need guidance.

Even if u get a shitty roommate u might get a really good one too that can possibly change ur life. Id take the chance

i lived in a dorm for some time. 1 roommate was a nerdy retard who complained alot, the other one was responsible for my good social life and me not being a loner loser. Turned my life around tbh

Not sure what college you are at but I remember a friend years ago that had horror stories about his roommate they assigned him. The guy was some foreign student (thinking maybe some arab country) and he said the guy stunk like crazy usually and would leave nasty crap all over the place acting like its his culture. It was one of the countries where they use a hand to wipe their butts instead of toilet paper. May have possibly been from India.
