They don't like the try-hard.They expected your personality to be corresponding to your looks. If you look like an incel , they expected you to act like one.It's like an invisible line that they don't want you to cross.

This is partially true, althrough I did managed to get some good reactions by playing cool (and be called cool), but it's just an act that never got me laid. In my case ppl expect me to act like a retard because I look like one , and I really enjoy it when I see them getting bamboozled after 2 seconds of talking.
