What about laying down
 
Not sure about this. I've sat most of the time for the past 10 years and i haven't lost height. I was 172 in my early 20s and i'm 174 the past 3 years. I do have spinal issues though and i do agree you should stand and sit aswell, it needs to be balanced.
I think everyone should install a pullup bar and decompress their spine once a day in the afternoon or so.

What about laying down
Just went sitting normally in a chair supposedly with thighs at a 90 degree angle , torso upright or bent forward ; bad it reduces blood flow leading to heart issues ,

Yeah hanging is good
