[Skin] has anyone had success with aloe vera gel ?

i've been wanting to collagenmax and i have some aloe vera gel lying around, it's 98%.
does anyone have a positive experience with it ?
i used it some time ago and it gave me a red and itchy skin right afterwards. did this happen to anyone ? should i just use it or leave it ? i would try it for some time but i'm scared of it wrecking my current collagen.

Its good to use after retin a, aha/bha imo. It reduces the pain

Red and itchy skin is indicative of some kind of reaction- don't use it if this is the case.

I use it almost daily and I don't get pimples ever since I started, maybe i'm coping but it makes my skin smooth as well.

My skin turns red for like 15 minutes after applying, is this normal?
