Skin is peeling off help pls

I woke up today and my skin feels like warm and hot and look at myself in the mirror and like my entire face is peeling (not visible but u can see the dead skin all over my face) this is right after I started using my brothers Tretoinin skin gel prescribed to him by his doctor. It only goes away temporarily when wet. I’m primarily using the gel to take preemptive care of acne and try to ease my blackhead presence. Could this be an effect of the gel or just a moisture problem?

Mix of both happens at first use a heavier moisturizer tret turned my oily skin dry so change to a diff moisturiser it works fine but also if you use every day like docs say it will get rid of acne but nuke your skin use 2-3 time a week

Thing is it’s not mine and I’m using it for other skin care problems like clogged pores. It says use daily on the tube but online people are saying use it every other night. It was prescribed to my brother who has a lot of acne so idk if I should be nuking my face w it

Break out wasn't too bad I dont remember how long it lasted

I tapered it well so I hardly got sides
