It's a step, there are 3 strengths of tret

0.025
0.05
0.1

You have to slowly get ur skin to tolerate each level of tret so that ur skin barrier remains healthy, start with applying 2-3 times a week then working your way up to weekly, after you stop seeing any effects then switch up to the next strength. While on tret you might experience purging which is when your skin gets worse before it gets better, over time you will achieve skin similar to the one in the photo. Pair it with a good cleanser, moisturiser and spf to help with results
