This guide is for moderate-low severe acne.
Isotretinoin (accutane) is arguably the only thing that actually works for your skin, depending on how much your dosage is, the treatment can be aggressive, my personal favorite is 15mg 3x a week, side effects are low to moderate, skin is clear, life is good, make sure to moisturize every morning and apply spf-50 before going out in the sun, omega 3 fish oil every other day to mitigate the joint pain and you should be good (optional): apply benzol peroxide every other day for a cleaner look at the start of the treatment because of the purge.
Tretinoin: CANNOT BE TAKEN WITH ACCUTANE! Before applying tret, make sure you have a cleanser, wash your face with the cleanser 20 mins before applying tret, first 2 weeks of tret is 2-3x a week no more no less, after you wake up moisturize (optional) and apply spf. (Remember tret is a powerful cream so no more than a pea size and don’t combine it with benzol peroxide or vitamin c)
This next one is just something to control breakouts, apply benzol peroxide every other day (cleanse before applying) moisturize in the morning, apply spf (pair this routine with antibiotics every day for maximal results) i obviously don’t have to mention there are specific types of antibiotics and not just any over the counter type.
