Skincare is fucking cope. If you have acne, going to target and buying a cleanser and moisturizer, won't do SHIT.

IF you wanna get rid of your acne, the only way to do so is:

ACCUTANE.

20-60mgs of accutane a day + cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF, is the only thing that will save your pepperoni face. And AFTER coming OFF accutane, skincare can help maintain your results.

this is probably not intended for you then, but I see at least 5 posts a day asking how to get rid of acne, and getting prescribed accutane is easy asf

Immediately discredited yourself.
in my experience it helped me maintain it. When I stop using cleanser I get a bit here and there, just talking out of experience

I feel like skin care companies make it so you end up with more acne

Because if they fixed your acne you would never buy a product again:bigbrain:

Anecdote =/ fact.
You:
1. Downregulated sebaceous gland activity permanently with isotretinoin (nothing to do with skincare use preventing acne).
2. Reached a point in/out of puberty where hormonal volatility was not as significant leading to less sebaceous gland activity through stabilisation of hormones.
3. Both.

Anybody that has acne in 2026 is a retard.
Anybody that has scarring in 2026 is a retard.
The differentiator now between tards and not is how youthful your skin is.

Retarded concept JFL
If you ended up with more acne then you'd pivot to another product.
Commercial products cannot be effective because they obviously cannot consist of pharmaceutical products.
They are just not effective => any looksmaxer should be in favour of pharmaceuticals because if you are here, you probably aren't a retard brainwashed by the naturalistic fallacy.

I only heard about looksmaxing as a term half a year ago but accutane got me into the whole biohacking 3 years ago, with accutane i hopped on fin for my hair, topical min which i switched to oral later, from fin i switched to dut. After that peptides. It was the dermatologist prescribed gateway drug to pharmacology and i really don’t mind, they ascended me from bottom 10% to upper 30% and there is still a lot to do. If i found this forum sooner i could have probably do a lot more 3 years ago but atleast i wasn’t coping around the years lol

What about deep ice pick scarring? I have a problem with some areas and I’ve planned a surgery at a dermatology laser clinic for those and other reasons, but that way of treatment is quite cost intensive for most people.

I’m not aware of any other effective methods for that deep scarring.

TCA cross but the thing is ice picks are the hardest to treat, best you can do is turn ice picks into box car scars and those are easier to treat, pretty fucked up to have them tho i get what you feel

Microneedling and peels aren’t very effective for deep ice pick scarring. CO2 laser yeah which is what I have booked.

Have you.... tried them?
I have tried standard chemical peels but they aren’t very effective. A different user mentions TCA cross which seems to be the most specialized and effective. A family member with the same issue and has a multitude of microneedling sessions without good results, so I just saved my money for laser.

Yeah that's kinda what I meant when saying chemical peels, from what I've seen anything under TCA and phenol peels are cope.

And as for that microneedling anecdote I don't know what to tell you. There are multiple factors that could explain why they didn't get good results, because microneedling has shown time and time again to be effective for like literally every scar.
