skincare with seb derm

i have mild to moderate acne with seborrehic dermatitis therefore i cannot medically use accutane. i got my hands on tret though. if anyone has experience with anything of this sort (i.e dermatitis irritation from tret, skin barrier damage, whatever) i would love ANY advice.

with tret or Accutane if you ever get it, i would pair it with La roshe posy b5 cream it is a life saver, and helps moisturize and protect skin, also use a form of tinted or non tinted spf50 as your skin is very susceptible to burning

You can still use Accutane

From my knowledge seborrehic dermatitis just makes its use more prone to side effects

Microdose it and get products that support use like fungal creams and obviously moisturizer

clinique 48h moisturizer

avoid extended long showers, avoid hot water in general, moisturize immediately after anything that damages skin barrier.

finding a face wash that doesn't burn/ strip your skin is also a priority.

I would go into a store where you can sample moisturizers and use them carefully to avoid a large reaction

Mometasone cream is also very good for halting conditions.

Benzoyl peroxide is something good that you can acquire OTC, it does dry your skin a little but its worth it for acne, you should be able to moisturize after to prevent sides from using it

First week only do tret every other day. Little bit of moisturizer before, and moisturize after. I got a humidifier that I run overnight. Don't shower or wash your face more than you need to and always moisturize after. I really like cerave moisturizing cream. Pretty basic but gets the job done. Also try to avoid anything that can irritate your face more. I had to stop topical vitamin c but tret mogs.

Oh and make sure you're getting enough water and decent nutrition. It really does make a big difference.
