You can even go cheaper if you buy the generic brands. I have used both retin-A and generics and they are the exact same.

Usually fresh pimple or acne takes 2-3 weeks for me but retin a heels Pretty fast like 4-5 days. Skin has improved tremendously but still have acne scars. It's fading but it's slow

Look in to doing a glycolic peel, 35%. Build yourself up to 70% strength. They help with acne scars. A good thing to do once every 3 months. Obviously you have to wait 10 days post peel before resuming tret
