So I'm 195 cm (6'5) and 86 kg (190 lbs) and I work out 5 times a week but i struggle to hit my protein due to wanting to stay in a calorie deficit, is it really that important while I'm trying to gain muscle and lose fat? any tips trying to re-comp is really appreciated anyway

You have to do body recomp, if you're a beginner in the gym just stay in 500 kcal deficit and hit your protein.

I feel like 500 is too much of an deficit bc u need to cut carbs (u need fat for health and protein for building muscle) and if u cut too much carbs u just gon be tired all day and thats just contra productive for working out I’d never do a cut with a deficit more than 300 personally

I've personally hated how carbs made me feel all my life. If somebody truly feels like this is an issue you can just go keto and not worry about this.
