Is it true that when skinny teenagers become adults they become overweight because their metabolism decreases fast?

Almost everyone middle aged overweight person I know used to be skinny asf when they were younger

Freshman 15 is what is used to describe kids gaining 15 lbs when they finally age up and go to college and now that their metab isn't as fast they gain weight. People like @larsanova69 and @Salludon will stay at a good weight because they used to be overweight during puberty tbhngl
