Skull and bones Yale secret society

Does anyone know anything about the skull and bones fraternity at Yale? I personally know someone who is currently in it. I won’t say his name but I’ve been to dinner with him, taken pictures, and spoken to him a lot. I only found out he was in it from his girlfriend telling my mom, and then she told me. He’s also pretty big news at Yale, just for context.

Just wondering if there’s anything more to this secret society and why this guy might be involved with it.
