The storm cloaks are essentially far right nationalist and Ulfric cna be said to be Nick fuentes or Adolf Hitler. The imperials are the puppet government who are fighting to keep control over this territory but their leaders are subservient to the will of the thalmor. The thalmor are the government of the aldmeri dominion who are an empire of elves who believe they are superior to everyone else. They have made the empire ban worship of the man who became god (Talos) whom the nords claim as one of their own. Not jsut that but skyrim is facing a refugee crisis from dark elves that come form the East.
What did Bethesda mean? What were they trying to say?

The civil war is a side plot. I don't believe the main plot or many of the guild quests have anything to do with our world. Still a great game
