no, Slovenes that didn't want to be germanized were taken to concentration camps by Germany and they wanted to erase their language. Czech had a similar situation and they were one of the first Slavic proper nations since the 9th century

They were both part of the Holy Roman Empire and later German Confederation. The Dutch are also honorary Germans.

I've been to Slovenia and it's night and day difference from other Yugoslavian countries. Same goes for the Czech republic.

Italy was a laugh stock during WWII. They couldn’t even beat Yugoslavia that they considered inferior, forcing Germany to intervene and lose a precious amount of time that could’ve been used for attacking the USSR. In fact Italy was supposed to conquer the Balkan consisting of “inferior” nations while Germany was preparing the war against Russia but Mussolini couldn’t even accomplish that task.
