I've been reading in a lot of websites that this helps prevent wrinkles(so called "sleep lines"), make your skin look more smooth and give less irritation. It also makes sense that your skin will be less dirty. It makes sense but they don't provide any studies.

I heard sleeping on your back increased chances of having sleep paralysis so that’s a big no no

Most mouth breathers and recessed people sleep on their backs. The jaw drops down, the tongue falls into the airway and then you start mouthbreathing

Silk pillow cases alleviate this problem without the need for changing the way you sleep, it's the friction of normal cotton pillowcases that essentially drags the skin - does the same to hair as well leading to more hair loss :blackpill:

Why is it a big no no?
Sleep paralysis directly leads to lucid dreams. Lucid dreaming has changed my life.

Sleep paralysis isn’t all that bad tbh but it doesn’t lead to lucid dreaming

Have you tried lucid dreaming?
If you have done any research in to it, you would know that sleep paralysis is what happens when your body is thinking it is asleep (and paralyzed, so you don't flail around while you're dreaming, hence the name - sleep paralysis), but your mind is still awake.

Instead of regaining consciousness mid dream, you go in to the dream while still conscious, you just have to ride the paralysis out without freaking out or waking yourself up.

Ofc, going in to a lucid dream from sleep paralysis unintentionally is somewhat rare, but if you know what youre doing, getting sleep paralysis gives me like a 70% chance i will get a lucid dream if I don't fuck up.

What makes it hard is that sleep paralysis generally triggers your fight or flight instinct because you are immobilized and generally feel a sense of impeding doom, so you have to be zen af and know what is happening to not wake yourself up, meditation and being more self aware helped me with that.

sleep paralysis is scary the first time but after that you kinda get used to it. but still

sleeping on back is okay but sleeping on side with silk or satin pillowcase is ideal

sleeping on front = huge looksmin
