Ideal Sleep Position
The Ideal sleep position for correcting Asymmetry is on your back with your head pointed straight towards the celling like this.

Before you say that this is wrong "The ideal sleep position is sleeping on your right side" Yes technically you're correct... Your also a retard.

dependent facial edema. This is what happens when you sleep on your side. Your facial fluid pools to whichever direction is facing downward. I employee all of you to try changing your sleep position before looking into surgery to fix asymmetry.

Results

Changing your sleep position to fix Asymmetry will work and you should see results within 1 - 2 weeks. Back sleeping will not remodel your bone structure so if you still have asymmetry after 1 - 2 weeks of consistently sleeping on your back unfortunately It's Over.
Note that changing to this sleep position will not fix certain Asymmetry's like:
  • Eye positioning
  • Eyelid asymmetry
  • Chin deviation
  • Postural asymmetry
✠ Method
Changing your sleep position is extremely high effort. You will have Sleepless nights. Eventually you will get use to it and your body will adapt however personally I had roughly 5 nights where I didn't get more that 4 hours sleep. But it was so worth it, I had one side of my jaw that was noticeably larger than the other and since sleeping on my back it has completely disappeared.
Since it is hard to change your sleep position I would recommend taking sleeping tablets ( Only problem with these is that you might fond yourself accidentally sleeping on your side.) If that is the case you need to develop a conscious habit of laying on your back. I often find my self laying on my side, I've developed a habit of realising and correcting it immediately.
An example of what not to do:

This person is incorrectly sleeping on their back as there head is still positioned to one side therefore mitigating none of the dependent facial edema caused by side sleeping.
I would recommend having a slightly thicker pillow that way sleeping on your back with your head to one side blocks an airway making it uncomfortable.

I've already tried that and it's not comfortable. I can only sleep when I turn to my left side.
