I had a pallet expander around two years ago, and I noticed that my left side of my maxilla is more prominent than my right side which is slightly tilting the tip of my nose to the right, and there’s also slightly less cheekbone projection on the right compared to the left . I’m still not done with my braces yet and I was wondering if there was any way to fix this with my orthodontist while I can.

how are u not realizing this during or after expansion? you usually turn back if theres asymmetries

Cause I was like 13 and didn’t give a shit about how I looked 😬. Is there anything that could still be done with just orthodontics?

Alright, but i have spoken to my ortho about it he said that he could expand very slightly then start turning back which could work but I’d prolly just have to have braces for another 6 months to a year, what are your thoughts on this.

Man how would that even work?

If you did it 2 years ago bone already remodeled : |

We’ll see I had the same question, he said some shit like it’s about the position of the bones and the slight expanding then re-turning while using elastics could align them as best as he could. See now idk if that’d work or not but he’s a ortho and I’m a kid so he would know more.
