- remodels the whole skull instead of just the jaw that happens with chewing
- less chance of tmj because the jaw joint isnt in use
- if you use a cloth [ not mouth gaurd cuz microplastics ] then your teeth wont get damaged unlike with chewing they get smaller

I'm quite sure you are supposed to have your teeth touching slightly as mew says, or slightly apart. But don't clench hard that's what fuck ups faces and teeth.

it might get worse because the stronger side will always generate more force than the weaker side so the asymmetry might get even more pronounced

but thats anatomical even chewing will have the same issue
