Zoomercels are the worst incels so far, dating apps and social media has caused mass social isolation to the point that what was outcast behavior ~10 years ago is a small part of the mainstream. Just scroll on tiktok and you'll find 'le epin schizo/no gf/mogging' content being popular with normies, the bar for NT has never been lower. 5 years ago using slang (i.e. 'cap') on PSL would out you as an NT, but incels today are really just products of a toxic environment moreso than being inherently fucked ie a few years ago. There's more incels nowadays but the quality has gone down, too many borderline normies, with friends (even male only) compared to the total outcasts we used to have, ironically the quality of the average normie has also gone down. (less social, more time online). I've seen 'missing out on teen love' memes on instagram JFL

I'd argue that a smaller % of people move on from successive stages, i.e. most people will never make it past stage 2, then even fewer will make it past stage 4, even fewer will ascend, etc.
