convince me whether drugs should be legalised or decriminalized or not

on the one hand I think everybody should have the right to experience the limits of consciousness and trip their balls off

on the other hand this would clearly be bad for society as a whole in terms of public heath (hospitalisations), loss of motivation and some people being cunts under the influence. obviously these are all problems for alcohol too but they would be exacerbated

Depends on the class of drug.

things like mushrooms, weed etc should be legal.

but drugs that are extremely destructive to the person and society like heroin or spice, should be illegal and have harsher penalties for distributors.

yeah for things like shrooms and weed you can just argue that smoking + alcohol is just as bad if not worse for society and legal

how many people you think take up healthcare capacity due to smoking/drinking related issues? how much antisocial behaviour you think is a result of drinking?

it's clearly awful for society but banning it would be just as bad due to it's ubiquitous nature
