Smartphone pictures sucks ?

I have compared my pixel 6a (450$) to some old compact camera (150$) and the latter takes much better picture, with natural colors and less distrotion jfl

If i transfer my phone pictures on my computer, they look utter shit. can someone explains me why people still use phone if cheap camera looks much more natural/better while not needing an additional lens ?

Its only okay if you have something like a iphone pro max, but beside that better buy some cheap camera for souvenir/pics

Because the camers is only one part of the phone
Also larger aperature and focul length in full sizw camera as compared to tiny little flat dot on phone
