Snail jizz is pretty good

I've had an issue with many moisturisers causing breakouts especially with tretinoin. Tret cream doesnt agree with my skin but tret gel is a little too drying and irritating

I've been using snail mucin prior to nightly tret application for a month and it’s worked surprisingly well. No breakouts but no dryness either, gives the face a good sheen to it

Do you think it is because of your skin barrier being irritated?

You want a really powerful moisturiser with ingredients for barrier repair. So if you just used a basic moisturiser with tret your barrier might not have been happy with you.

The one I’ve been using because of Reddit recommendations is Aestura Atobarrier

Seems like an interesting cream never seen it here. Hella expensive from online stores though. I used QV niac cream it’s pretty good I still use it in the mornings. But very likely my skin barrier was irritated but also tret gel on top of a cream doesn’t mesh well just speaking from experience

the ones by korean brands are less diluted just an FYI no clue why western skincare companies add random fucking additives all the time
