So a recessed lf1 region in comparison to lf3(-1) causes hollow under eyes?

Interesting stuff from a convo i had, apparently a recessed maxilla in in comparison to zygos and infras causes insuffecient support to malar fat pad and it glides down creating hollow under eyes. Also causes faster losening of the ligament that holds SOOF (fat pad directly under eye) together, making your eyes even hollower and thinner looking.

Apparently lower orbital rim deficiency is rarely a cause for hollow (note: hollow) under eyes.

If anything it will make the Undereye support look better

Is there a way to restore the fat you lost in ur under eyes

How is this possible? thought it was the inverse cos LF3 are is the undereye

Oh you’re talking about hollows, yes but it’s not what you think. A rexceeed Lefort 1 region usually means bad crainofacial devolpment which also means a reccesed maxilla in generel leading to those hollow underyes

Quoting "Hollow undereyes are caused by a recessed lf1 region compared to the lf2 region. The malar fat pad under your eyes is supported by 2 structures, the bone of the maxilla below it, the lf1 region, or more or less the positive inclination it causes with the lf2 region, and the tear trough ligament that it is connected to above it. If you lack the support of the maxilla below this fat pad the ligament will stretch over time and your malar fat pad will descend prematurely giving you hollow undereyes. The tear trough ligament is also connected to your inferior orbital fat pad and as that ligament loses tension, that fat pad will be stretched too making it appear thinner than it actually is, which will make the hollowing just worse."

I thought this too idk how legit but apparently the idea is that when the maxilla is recessed compared to infraorbital rim+zygos it doesn't offer support for fat. I don't remember that well. The convo is in this thread https://looksmax.org/threads/hollow-undereyes-with-a-positive-orbital-vector.1191368/#post-17812511

this is just going too much into depth man he’s trying too much. The obvious reason why is lack of fat pads, That or you don’t have good infra orbitals. Also the placement of the infras matters too.

Pushing the Lefort 1 region forward has no effect on Undereye

I mean there are before and afters of lf1 with decreased scleral show, i don't think it's too far fetched. Also if the ligament that holds the fat directly under eye (SOOF) has stretched, obviously that won't fix itself after lf1, and you'll need surgery for that and bring it up and tight again.

Infras matter too ig but apparently his mind is that for hollow undereyes specifically maxilla is much more important. Also like Sean o'pry has recession on a bone level basically (negative orbital vector) but has insane under eye support tbh.

Also not sure about all this, i haven't looked too deep into it, so i can't confirm nor deny

Mogger procedure for under eyes with fat graft btw

Those typically tend to be done in combanatipn with a implant, infras and fat pads are the only things that matter for Undereye, o pry has actually bad bone support Undereye his eyes you can tell by his rounded lower eyelids

Yeah i think that fat pads collagen etc are law in under eye support, put o'pry would support his theory tbh, since he has 'bad under eye support' on a bone level, but a more forward maxilla in comparison and no hollow undereyes to be seen
