So many people actually have money I didn’t think that before but now that i’ve been outside and met and talked to lots of people and widened my perspective I now realise that so many people are actually very wealthy and not particularly from their own effort just from there family wealth. So many people have parents that are successful Surgeons making millions a year so many have parents that own insurance companies real estate companies and are basically set for life and receive monthly payments from there family on top of there work it’s quite brutal really meanwhile you are one month pay check away from from begging on the street

It’s not normal to struggle and have to work multiple jobs and barely have any left over money no wonder there isn’t any revolution or uprising happening because majority of people are rich already and are enjoying their fruits of their families labour couple generations ago. You and I are just the unlucky ones born with absolutely no money at all.

This isn’t meant to be a doomer post of course you can start from 0 and make it but you’d have to be incredibly talented and lucky and if you are there you probably wouldn’t be on this forum anyways.

I think the evidence is all there - UK home ownership is like 70%, roads are full of 26-plate German SUV’s, everyone’s wearing good brand clothes no primark shit. They work the same jobs that we do but “somehow” they afford a lifestyle that’s completely out of reach for us. They are LARPing as workers and they are in fact the majority - just look around.

People cope saying “all bought on credit” but anyone who’s actually made use of credit knows you simply can’t get high enough limits to allow that level of affluence on average wages.

Then there are the chavs who don’t work, lucky them. They aren’t rich but they have infinite free time to enjoy.

And then there are the working poor. Like you and I. No free time, no money. Maybe 10-20% of people suffering like slaves.

It is also true that a fertility issue is contributing to depopulation and this may asymmetrically effect different classes. The rich are more likely to get along or not be destroyed by divorce. Perhaps they're more likely to have better ethics and morality amongst themselves as opposed to destroying themselves inside out, what the poorer people might be more prone to.

It very well may be that the lower-middle class and lower classes are being depopulated while the wealthy who have swelled up, maintain replacement fertility rates. It may be, the only people being replaced by immigrants, are the lower middle class and working class.

Assets make money. Essentially claims on future cashflows devoid of labour. To buy assets you need to be rich.

Rich boomers have nothing better to do with their passive income but to buy more assets.

And AI will completely unlink labour from remuneration, due to commoditizing it's cost. Fees streams will continue to flow to capital holders. They will buy more assets, and amplify their future returns and future wealth, indefinitely.

Looking into this right now, not only has the middle class slowly shrunk in most (hollowing-out), 66%, EU countries (in very rich and very poor countries, this shrinkage was the biggest, kinda like how in the US the shrinkage was greater too. Only super mid EU countries saw a slight shrinking), but total middle class income also grew slower than upper class so they get less share of the wealth. This happened in each country individually once they boomed with modernization (decline starts after). Disparity in growth was slightly greater than double (top-growth versus wages-growth) so basically it just follows progress of technology

Before ww1 and ww2 we saw progress of technology, new power vacuums and competitions between countries, which led to war. After the wars/economic-geopolitical competitions, the middle class was allowed to settle in, the wars determined which countries overall, and middle classes of those countries, got the most benefit. We see this with germany: despite having lost the war, before the war ended, Himmler did some capitalist-jitsu and resurrected post-war germany with industry. Not just because it was already prosperous or had potential before the wars, but because he used forced labour camps to amass profit for companies that would be later off-shored and returned to germany after the war. No body would do anything against this, because its a lot of money for everyone to benefit from. There would be no justice for jewish workers when a ton of money is in the question brutal mogging

If AI is so groundbreaking and not BS then we might see something similar, we may already be seeing something similar. A future West vs East/china AI/tech war, over lithium, datacentres, etc. idk. Soon, they'll all be fighting over controlling the oil.
