They work VERY well IF your specialist is good and STARS ALIGN.

The MAIN danger of undereye filler is NOT migration (if injected correctly). The main issue is UNEVEN application. The eyelid skin is very thin. So, fillers tend to form rolls/clumps under your skin and BE VISIBLE. It is a unique problem for this location.

ALSO, if you have recessed orbital rims, you need TONS of product. Most people come to the practice, get injected 0.5ml undereye, like I did, and leave home with SUBOPTIMAL results. In reality EACH UNDEREYE needs 3ml filler! This is a TON.

3ml figure is not my words, this is what Steinsapir suggests for recessed infraorbital rims. Now with the price of 500 euro per syringe... 6ml x 500 = 3000 Euro for undereye only AND not a fact that you will not have to redo in 6 months, if you metabolize them quickly. Entertainment for the rich. :feelsrope:

Not straightforward. Yes, and if you are LUCKY, fat graft is the ULTIMATE solution to depressed infras, because it both corrects the volume, and thickens the eyelid skin, removing dark circles. Holy grail of rejuvenation.

BUT (there is always but) it is IMPOSSIBLE to do properly. Only 50% fat survives, another 30% gets reabsorbed. The main promise of fat grafting is that it is permanent. It is a WHITE LIE. In fact, it is ONLY 20% OF TRANSPLANTED FAT that stays permanently, everything else either dies, or get reabsorbed.

AND if your fat dies under eyelid guess what? IT CANNOT BE REMOVED UNLIKE FILLER. They will have to cut you open WITH SCARS to take it out. So, no one really does it. INSTEAD, they inject even MORE fat, until the results even out. But this makes undereye puffy.

The end though: NEVER DO FAT GRAFT UNDEREYE. This is a terrible procedure, because it is UNRELIABLE. If you want permanent, and pay less long run: go implant. If you want fast, low-risk but VERY expensive: go filler. :smonk:

I do not know anything about PRP unfortunately, except that it is a new treatment. I did platelet-rich plasma during my hair transplant. I do not even know what it did: 0 effect... probably gave more "growth" or sth :feelskek:
