Serious Social Media was the perfect distraction for the general public

The people online that connect the dots and decide to post it on TikTok or other platforms end up ruining it for most other people that align with the same ideology, now this is not a statement to say not to preach about this sort of thing, however, most people on TikTok are just trolls that spam stickers and say brainrotted shit. It's gotten to the point where you try and have a discussion about something serious and people can't take it seriously simply because of the current state of social media and how it changes the way that they interpret information, the first instinct is to always make light of the situation/look for a joke.

As an example lets say someone makes a post about Saturn and the connection of it to esoteric beliefs and the elites. 99% of the time you will have some kid in the comments saying "Tip of the iceberg btw" as if they are some enlightened human who understands truly what is happening between the lines. Most of these people will never wake up and truly realise what is happening.

Furthermore, most of these videos about Saturn are now just the same and they all just flash images, not saying that they don't have correlation but what I'm getting at here is that they do not bother to go into depth and explain the thought process behind linking said images to Saturn.

Now obviously Saturn is an extremely basic example of these "conspiracy" beliefs, however I am using it for ease of understanding.

Apologies, I made a serious thread talking about making light of serious things that no one else wants to discuss because of how frightening it seems. I just don't understand why some people do it. Perhaps it is a coping mechanism.

Good, keep it that way. I had it for a bit but found little to no use for the app. I did quite enjoy the math slander videos though, they were pretty funny .
