I hate it when people tell an ugly person it's their fault for looking that way. I see it happen all the time and it's always the same shitty advice. They say “groom yourself better, exercise, work on your personality.” And a lot of times the advice these people give to ugly people doesn't even make sense.
Especially that last one because your personality is innate to you. How are you gonna change that? I was scrolling on reels the other day and I saw a dude from a male fashion advice subreddit
and obviously he was screenshot and put on Instagram to be made fun of. Everyone was flaming his outfits but I thought he looked just fine.
This is what he looked like by the way.
The more I scrolled through these comments the more I felt bad for that guy until I see a comment that completely baffles me.It was something like this guy just needs to work out, get a better haircut, and be hygienic.
And I'm like what the fuck are you talking about? How do you know he's unhygienic?
From a couple photos and people were agreeing with them. I felt like I was going crazy. I think it's great and all to believe that there are ways for everyone to drastically improve their appearance by taking care of themselves, but we just gotta be truthful there's probably nothing wrong with the way this guy cleans himself. It's just so disingenuous. To me, to make shit up, to explain why someone's ugly. And I think the main reason why a lot of people do this is because they don't want to feel empathy for ugly people. They shift the blame from the mistreatment of ugly people from society
to the ugly people themselves to avoid any guilt. That's just what I think, though. The end.
